What I collect

I keep this simple. I collect the email address you give me when you subscribe, and your name if you choose to provide it. I also automatically collect basic engagement information, such as whether you open an email or click a link, and standard technical data like your general location and device type, through my email platform.

How I collect it

I collect information directly from you when you subscribe, and automatically through my newsletter platform and cookies when you interact with my emails or pages.

How I use it

I use your information to send you the Newsletter and related updates, to understand what content is useful so I can improve it, to occasionally tell you about my own products or services, and to keep my list secure and comply with my legal obligations. I do not sell your personal information.

My platform and third parties

I run the Newsletter through Beehiiv, which stores subscriber data and sends my emails on my behalf. I may also use analytics tools to understand engagement. These providers process your information only to provide their services to me, under their own privacy and security obligations. My emails may link to third party sites, which have their own privacy policies that I do not control.

Cookies

My pages and emails may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure engagement, and improve your experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work as well if you disable them.

How I store and protect it

I take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long I keep it

I keep your information for as long as you are subscribed and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet my legal and operational needs. If you unsubscribe, I may retain a record of your unsubscribe request so I can honour it.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. You may also ask me to access, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you by emailing me. I will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable privacy law.

International readers

I may store and process your information in countries other than where you live. Where required, I take steps to ensure your information is handled in line with this policy and applicable law. If you are in the EU or UK, I rely on your consent to send you the Newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time.

Children

The Newsletter is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has subscribed, please contact me and I will remove their information.
